Update

Hi all,

Just wanted to wish you all a happy new year and hope that you all had a good break! The homework duo-tang will be going out today with new homework pages, the same guidelines apply to the pages. Let me know if any clarifications are needed. Yesterday our copains d'orthos words went home, they are the same as the last week of december since we were too busy in class to finish studying them and do any of the dictées.

We are continuing with our ici on parle motivational game and starting fresh with the New Year. This term of our game will be 12 weeks, and the students in grade one only need 3 stars which would mean 3 weeks at 9 or higher. At this point in the year many students have improved their oral competencies but are still forgetting to use them all the time. This is why I am sending home the ici on parle sheets so you are aware of your child’s success and can celebrate it with them to further motivate them.  Please remember to send them back to school with your signature. I thank you for your cooperation in this.

This Friday we will be celebrating those that have reached the highest in the class and that have improved the most. We are always talking about improving our conversation skills with everyone and that the more we speak in French amongst each other the more French will be spoken by all students in class.

Please check your child's homework duo-tang as I have included new homework pages with explanations.

Thanks!
Élise

La classe

Hi everyone,

Here is a picture of our new MIMI poster so you can get an idea of where the words came from. Each student shook out their own word in French.

Here are a few videos of me pronouncing the words to help you out or if you would like your child to listen to.

Hello,

I'm hoping you find yourselves well rested after the summer Holiday. Here is our classroom blog where I will be posting daily updates on what we are doing as well as post videos of us or of me pronouncing our PWIM words since I know many of you do not speak French. Send me an e-mail if you can think of anything else that would be hekpful for you on here.

Here is a video of a song we are singing daily in order to pratice and remember the order of the French days of the week. Feel free to show your child and sing along with them.
